Hull City manager Nigel Pearson has said that confidence is the key for Vito Mannone. Vito Mannone is yet to concede in his opening two games for the Tigers, shutting out Preston and Ipswich to help City earn consecutive wins for the first time this season.
It is form to repay the faith shown by Pearson after he turned to the 22-year-old in favour of regular keeper Matt Duke.
And the City boss says the on-loan Arsenal youngster is showing the character needed to make the number one jersey his own.
"He's a confident young man and I think you have to be as a goalkeeper," said Pearson. "He's a very positive person and has a lot of self-belief. I think we've seen that in the way he's come into the side."
