Italian shot stopper Vito Mannone signed for Arsenal as a teenager. He joined the Gunners from Italian Serie A outfit Atalanta in 2005 and the goalkeeper spent one year in the youth team before he was given his professional debut at Barnsley while he was an Arsenal loanee.While he was with the North Londoners, Vito Mannone was sent on loan to Barnsleyas pointed out above and Hull City.

In August 2006, Mannone signed for Barnsley on a three-month loan deal. The Italian was brought in to challenge Nick Colgan as the first choice goalkeeper. He made his debut for Barnsley in a League Cup clash with Blackpool. The game ended 2-2 and penalties were needed to separate the teams. Vito Mannone saved a penalty during the shootout to help his team into the next round.

MANNONE BENCHED IN BIG LEAGUE WIN

AS Monaco shot stopper Vito Mannone was on the bench for the entire duration of the big win over Marseille over the weekend. AS Monaco boss opted for first choice goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte in goal for the big home game on Saturday. Benjamin Lecomteand Vito Mannone have shared the goalkeeping duties at AS Monaco this season. BejaminLecomte got the nod for the Marseille game on Saturday ahead of Vito Mannone and he conceded a goal in a 3-1 victory for his team. AS Monaco had to come from a goal down to score three second half goals to seal the three points at stake and strengthen their grip on fourth spot on the league standings.

Serbian midfielder Nemanja Radonij was responsible for the opening goal of the game in the colours of Marseille. NemanjaRadonij gave the visitors the lead on 12 minutes and the goal was enough to hand his team a 1-0 lead at the end of the first half. Italian shot stopper Vito Mannone is determined to make most of his chance at French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco after signing for them in September 2020. The 32-year-old goal minder was at Reading in the English Championship until the summer when his contract with the Royals ended. He signed for Monaco as a free transfer and has penned a two-year deal until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

In one of his first interviews as an AS Monaco player, Vito Mannone told reporters that he’s delighted with the opportunity to play in a new league and that he doesn’t want to misuse it. Former Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone has opened up about his relationship with former boss Arsene Wenger. The Italian told Gazzetta dello Sport that he did not share a great human relationship with the legendary French manager.

Mannone, 32, spent seven years at Arsenal but managed only 15 league appearances between the sticks. He left North London in 2013 to join Sunderland to seek out more regular first team action.

PLAYERS SPURS COULD SIGN

Tottenham Hotspur had a good season last year. They played the final of the UEFA Champions League. They also qualified for another season in Europe elite football competition. But things have not been rosy for the Lilywhites this season. They sacked the manager who led them to the Champions League final. Mauricio Pochettino was replaced by Jose Mourinho, but the fortune of the club has not changed. They have only managed 41 points in 29 Premier League games. The overall point tally is half the number accrued by league leaders Liverpool.

According to former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch a major squad rebuild is needed in North London. If Spurs are to end their recent slump and prevent themselves dropping back into mid-table team. The club needs to be smart in the transfer market.

ARSENAL ADVANCE TO FA CUP FIFTH ROUND

Arsenal have advanced to the next round of the FA cup and will now wait for the draw to know who their opponent might turn out to be. The premier league and any meaningful pursuit in it looks like a waste of time at this point but the Gunners will at least try to have their hand on a piece of silverware come the end of the season.

Bernd Leno is still getting used to the idea of shouldering such amount of responsibility and the fans will hope the German doesn’t turn to another Vito Mannone while young players like Saka and Ntekiah are now growing into the role of being useful when the team needs them most instead of waiting for the established stars as was seen in their last match against Bournemouth

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone has been voted as Major League Soccer’s best goalie of the year.

The Italian has been at Minnesota United squad, on loan from Reading FC and his feats throughout the campaign period has been deemed worthy of a best keeper prize.

It wasn’t all blues for Vito though as his side lost to LA Galaxy in the MLS play-offs putting to dent an otherwise brilliant campaign for a man that has been turned in a Premier League journeyman having played for a host of teams including Arsenal, Sunderland and one which isn’t even in the top league: Reading FC.

Easy Game for Vito Mannone, Mcnulty Again Scores

Vito Mannone will most probably be wishing that most of the games for the remaining of his career should be as easy as the match he played on last Sunday when the club of Minnesota United hosted the Columbus Crew in a match that ended by a score of 1-0 to the hosts. It was mostly one-sided match for the most part of the game, with Mannone not required to make even a single save throughout the match. In spite of their dominant performance, it took Minnesota United until the 70^th minute to draw the first blood, but it was a simple case of when they would score and not whether they will score.

Blended emotions this past week for Sone Aluko, as Sone made an amazing start to the scoring of game only after 2 minutes far from home, but his side Beijing Renhe ended the game on the wrong side with a scoreline of 3-1 at the hands of Moussa Dembele who is the former midfielder of Tottenham Hotspur & his R&F team of Guangzhou. It has been a worrisome beginning to the season for Beijing Renhe. Just after 1st 10 games, they have found themselves at the bottom of the table with only 5 points in hand, but they are also just 2 points adrift. 2 games in a matter of some days for the Ludogorets view them getting into the final day of this season 1 point ahead of the title rivals i.e. CSKA Sofia. I have also mentioned the terrible discipline record in Bulgaria earlier, so most probably you would be forgiven for believing that Joey was one who was out on loan.
